Eagle Scouts

Scouts BSA Girls’ Troop 4103 started the new year by recognizing two members for earning the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement attainable in the Scouts BSA program, Isabella Maleti, left, who lives in Los Altos, and Julia Chen, right, a resident of San Mateo County. Troop 4103 is proud to now count six female Eagles among their ranks. As part of earning the Eagle rank, Eagle Scouts plan a large-scale service project for their communities. Chen and her team worked with CuriOdyssey, a science museum and rescue zoo for native wildlife in San Mateo to build ramps, ladders and beds for animals there. Maleti and her crew built training structures and braided pull chains for Paws for Purple Hearts, who train service dogs for wounded service members and veterans.
