My opponent recently issued a press release strongly supporting President Biden’s call for Israel to implement a temporary humanitarian pause in its ongoing military offensive in Gaza. The press release states: “As it pursues military action against Hamas, Israel must take all necessary precautions to minimize civilian harm in accordance with international law.”
While that sounds nice, my opponent is asking Israel to fight a war of self-preservation with one hand tied behind its back. Hamas violated international law on Oct. 7 by killing civilians, including babies, raping women and taking hostages. They continue to violate international law by using human shields to defend its military headquarters and weapons.
Hamas must immediately free all of the Oct. 7 hostages to Israel and begin negotiations for lasting peace. This is truly the only way to save innocent civilian lives.
My opponent’s one-sided call for cease-fire ignores the reality that Israel is defending itself from attacks. Hamas is a terrorist group that has vowed to destroy them and must be stopped.

Furthermore, the United States can no longer give money to Iran and must restore the prior sanctions. Iran is using Western money for state sponsored terrorism.
Until we have strong leadership in Congress and the White House, we will not have U.S. national security and peace in the Middle East. We need peace through strength and we need to strongly support Israel’s survival for democracy around the globe.

I wonder what the reaction would be of these screaming pro-HAMAS young women in the streets if they were shown videos of the aftermath of the October 7 killings in Israel. Hundreds of young women were horribly abused, tortured and then massacred by these terrorists. Does anyone wonder where all of these Palestinian flags suddenly came from? Are these rioters being paid? There is no way that this is a spontaneous protest effort but is likely funded by the fifth column. Let's not kid ourselves, many Palestinians are fanatical HAMAS supporters and are just as guilty.
The Israel war/invasion of Gaza has gone on too long not to have been pre planned. It has been almost 6 weeks of relentless, indiscriminate bombing, with thousands of Palestinian women and children massacred by Israel bombs, with the help of the US. It is clear Israel allowed the October 7 HAMAS attack to occur and did so in order to allow the excuse to clear Gaza of Palestinians. The US neocons may be using/creating the situation for geopolitical goals such as setting up a war with Iran. The Muslim Brotherhood, a terrorist organization that doubles as a social support network, from which HAMAS was formed, was set up originally by Brittish Intelligence and has cooperated with the US in, for example, Afghanistan against Russia and Syria against Assad.
Netanyahu maneuvered HAMAS into power and funded it, largely in order to preclude a moderate organization that might seek a two state solution. It should be pointed out that Palestinians have a right to resist the Israel control of Gaza, which, according to the UN, is an illegal occupation. The Palestinians in Gaza are a desperate, destitute people that could have been manipulated into supporting HAMAS.
When civilians are targeted and murdered, that is always a war crime.
Yes, jcaruana, just like the Germans who were desperate, destitute people that were manipulated to support the Nazis. You have a twisted mind and a revisionist mentality. The Palestinians are complicit and as a whole support HAMAS. They are not the innocent folks who keep on blaming Israel for their own complacency. To think that Netanyahu would actually support a HAMAS behind the scenes is pure folly and another outrageous conspiracy plant. The Palestinian leadership is a willing football for most of the Arab world. Let's not kid ourselves as they let the residents in Gaza suffer by design. Netanyahu may not be 100% clean but to assert that he deliberately let HAMAS massacre a few thousand of his own citizens is a stretch.

A 2019 quote by Netanyahu: “Anyone who wants to thwart the establishment of a Palestinian state has to support bolstering Hamas and transferring money to Hamas. This is part of our strategy — to isolate the Palestinians in Gaza from the Palestinians in the West Bank.”
Targeting civilians and children as Israel is doing is genocide . They are using white phosphorous and bombing schools, residential buildings, and hospitals. The carpet bombing of German cities was a war crime.
The radical End-Times Zionists currently in control of Israel that do not represent Judaism are committing genocide. They have a neocon affiliated "greater Israel" ideology that includes purging the Arab population of Gaza and parts of other surrounding Arab countries.
I don't believe in collective punishment. Should U.S. citizens be collectively bombed because of past U.S. government policies that have resulted in the deaths of many millions around the world? Anyone who approves collective mass murder is a psychopath and certainly has a twisted mind.
Hamas attacked defenseless men, woman and children in Israel to provoke a war and then hid among Palestinian civilians and hospitals to ensure the most Palestinian deaths possible to blame it on Israel. Israel and Palestine’s only choice is to destroy Hamas as quickly as possible or perish.
FFGig - The Palestinians voted for Hamas, thus they are complicit and are now reaping what they sowed. Kind of the same as the people of the United States who voted for Biden, you and your cohorts deserve the misery you are all experiencing with inflation etc..
Not So Common - it is staggering to see that question from FFGig. Even CNN is now reporting a far more balanced approach highlighting the issue from either side of the GAZA border. If FFGig has any doubts, there is a recording broadcasted by HAMAS by one of those terrorist who called his mother, proudly proclaiming that he has already killed six Jews with his bare hands. His mother, mind you, a mother, exhorted him to go back and kill some more. Does FFGig need more evidence? Why would anyone be on the Palestinian side unless one is vicious, determined anti-Semitic.
Nice try, FFGig, everyone, even your beloved left-wing news outlets reports that Biden is considerably worse than our great President Trump on all economic indicators. During Trumps time in office, I don’t believe inflation ever got close to 3.7%. LOL. Next. Meanwhile, Georgia’s Lt. Governor is proposing that teachers in the state be paid an extra $10,000 to carry guns in schools. In a state, CA, with the most active shooter incidents and at least 15% of annual firearm deaths in the USA, perhaps we should give it a chance?
