Editor,

In response to Steve Duncan’s letter about the money spent on going to the moon, Steve stop hugging your tree for one minute. What exactly is supportive housing? Provide counseling and one-on-one follow up care? With meds also? May I suggest getting a grip on reality? I would be willing to bet 75% of homeless people would not want anything to do with this idea.

To answer your question, Neil, regarding how it worked out when Democrats blew millions (actually, over $24 billion) on the homeless problem… It resulted in more homeless. I’d say it is more likely that folks who were employed to “fix” the homeless problem were paid enough able to buy more homes than what they provided for the homeless.

Let’s not forget $50 billion was stolen in EDD fraud. $23 billion wasted to allow criminals crossing our border to access Medi-Cal, among other “rewards” for illegally crossing our border. $billions continuing to be wasted on the union labor giveaway known as the train-to-nowhere. $billions continuing to be wasted on the union transportation giveaway known as 100% operation of mass transit systems even though ridership is at 50% or less. If that fraud were prevented, we’d have no deficit and we’d likely have enough to finance quite a number of Artemis trips.
