Thanks for sharing the story of the great success Mimi Silbert and her Delancey Street Foundation has had instilling a sense of purpose and turning around the lives of individuals who had taken the wrong path. They are a model that should be emulated.
As a building manager, movers were a big source of grief, but not Delancey Street Movers. They were always courteous and professional. I also frequented a cafe that the foundation ran. It was friendly, cozy place, with great food and prices that couldn’t be beat. They also ran the best Christmas tree lot in the city. I would recommend everyone read about Mimi and the Delancey Street Foundation, you will be inspired and delighted.
