David Nakamura’s recent letter puzzled me as he seemed to say that because Iran might not have a nuclear weapon soon, we do not need to take military action against them. We don’t know how close they are to the bomb, but we do know that is their goal. Why wait until they have nuclear weapons? If they can be stopped now, then we should it. Waiting only allows them to get stronger and makes it more difficult to attack militarily. Negotiations will not work. Appeasement did not work with the Nazis and it will not work with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
