Class Notes: San Mateo County 4-H awards college scholarships

San Mateo County 4-H recently awarded college scholarships to senior members, from left, Audrey Migos, San Bruno/South San Francisco 4-H Club, attending Cornell University; Ava Litz, Pacifica 4-H Club, attending UC Berkeley; Clara Hause Stephenson, San Carlos-Eaton Hills 4-H Club, attending Carleton College; and Fynn Miller Bowen, San Carlos-Eaton Hills 4-H Club, attending California Polytechnic, San Luis Obispo. Not pictured: Maggie Forrest, San Carlos-Eaton Hills 4-H Club, attending Pitzer College. A total of $11,800 was awarded. The San Mateo/San Francisco 4-H program is open to youth ages 5 to 18. Operating out of the UC Cooperative Extension office, its purpose is to help youth build life and leadership skills through hands-on learning. Registration for 2026-27 opens in September.
