‘A firefighter’s life isn’t taken, it’s given’

San Mateo resident and Peninsula Quilters Guild member Barbara Hall stands with a quilt she made to honor the service of firefighters such as her husband. The piece, inscribed ‘A firefighter’s life isn’t taken, it’s given,’ will be on display in the Expo Hall at the San Mateo County Fair from June 5-16. Peninsula Quilters Guild members use the occasion of the fair to showcase work created over the past year. Information about the Guild may be found at www.peninsulaquilters.org.
