Charleen Mary White Photo

Charleen Mary White passed away on June 17, 2026 after a battle with Parkinson’s Disease and cancer. A bright star in a dark sky, Charleen always saw the goodness in others. Her heart was ever open, ready to help and welcome without judgment. She is much loved and cherished for her gentle, loving and caring spirit.

Charleen was born at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, California, and graduated from Sequoia High School in 1959. She knew then what she wanted to do in life. Accepting a position with the Sequoia Union High School District was the beginning of her outstanding 43 year career in school administration. Her accomplishments with the district are legendary. Among them were updating all school campuses and district office. She used the same administrative skills to help transform Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, St. Mark’s Church, Marin Catholic High School and the Archbishop’s home at St. Patrick’s Seminary. All of these challenging projects brought her great joy. She loved her home town, the Catholic Church and the Redwood City High School District, each of which she served so well.
