The county will consider authorizing nearly $400,000 to Planned Parenthood Mar Monte at its upcoming Board of Supervisors meeting, further affirming its support for comprehensive reproductive health care services.

This will be the second allotment of the $1 million in Measure K funds dedicated toward the organization for the purchase of technology, medical equipment and staff training, as a part of the county’s Action Plan to Support Women’s Reproductive Freedom and Healthcare Privacy.

Not So Common

Nice to know San Mateo County is taking the side of aborting babies. Perhaps the county should stay out of an issue that is incredibly divisive and allow those in favor of such barbaric practices to donate if financial help is needed. When the county gives taxpayer money to support a cause, it is taking sides.

It's time for "my money my choice" when it comes to issues like this.

Well said, Not So Common. Let’s recap… California is happily killing the unborn and perhaps post-birth (I can’t recall, so this may not be true). During our Covid emergency (I don’t know if we’re still in emergency) California’s public health department suspended their nursing home regulations and allowed Covid-infected seniors to be returned to nursing home facilities, ensuring more elderly Covid deaths. So California is okay with killing off both ends of the age spectrum yet the 700+ inmates on death row continue to live life to their fullest (relatively, but they aren’t homeless and they get three squares a day).

On a side note, our favorite Sonoma State University President, Mike Lee, retired before being fired for his career (and reputation) ending decision to take two knees and cave (like Biden to the Taliban) to the pro-terrorist faction and their demands. I applaud Mr. Lee did make meaningful change – to his career and reputation.. A nightmare is Mr. Lee will fail up and become the Secretary of Education or the Secretary of State (maybe he plays a meaner guitar than Blinken).
