Peninsula Clean Energy is launching its new Community Feedback Forum, a comprehensive initiative designed to deepen its partnerships with member communities and ensure robust public engagement as the agency’s programs and services continue to grow.
The forum builds on the foundation created by the 15-member Community Advisory Committee, according to a press release.
“The CAC has been helpful throughout our growth, providing insights that helped shape many of PCE’s early programs,” Donna Colson, Burlingame councilmember and Chair of Peninsula Clean Energy’s Board of Directors, said in the release. “Building on the contributions of the CAC, the new Community Feedback Forum allows our now operationally mature agency to deepen its engagement with member communities in helping PCE shape its programs and services.”
The new Community Feedback Forum, scheduled to launch early next year, will have no limit on participation, with the goal of tapping into more local expertise from nonprofits, community leaders and customers. The forum will also include multilingual discussions, according to the release.
Current CAC members are invited to continue advising staff in specialized working groups focused on key efforts, such as building electrification, and to help shape the new forum. Interested members of the public are also welcomed to provide advice and guidance at meetings hosted by Peninsula Clean Energy’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors. They may submit written public comments and pose questions ahead of those meetings at BoardClerk@PeninsulaCleanEnergy.com, in addition to making comments via zoom or in person. Upcoming meeting details are available at https://www.peninsulacleanenergy.com/meetings-events.
