Trailing 22-17 after the first quarter, SHP (3-0) went on a 13-5 run to overtake HMB and win its third straight to start the season. The Cougars (1-2) closed to within 1 at the start of the second half, but never caught the Gators. Three players led HMB in scoring, with seniors Gio Garduno-Martin and Daniel Moxtezuma, and junior Levi Meighan totaling 14 points apiece.
Drew 68, Westmoor 51
After a 2-1 start, Westmoor (2-5) dropped its fourth straight, falling at home to Drew-SF (4-3). Drew shot 47% from the field, with guard Nicholas Ordonez Reyes leading all scorers with 25 points. The senior is now averaging 18.7 points per game. Westmoor guard Augustus Le hit three 3s to score a career-high 11 points while adding five assists. Junior guard Kevin Panlasigui shared the team-high with 11 points.
Los Gatos 67, Menlo 60
The Knights (4-1) saw their unbeaten four-game win streak snapped in the opening game of the Los Gatos Lions Club Wildcat Shootout against host Los Gatos (4-0). Menlo led by 1 at the end of the first quarter, but Los Gatos went on a 16-9 run in the second to swing ahead. Menlo senior Ethan Zhao scored a team-high 13 points, sophomore Tres Onyejekwe added 13 and junior Kai Mawakana 10.
Aragon 78, Overfelt 50
The Dons (3-1) won their third straight, leading by 8 at the half before going on a 27-12 third-quarter run to pull away at Overfelt-San Jose (0-4). Senior guard Armando Cajbon led Aragon with 18 points, junior Hamilton Zhang added 14 and senior Charlie Platz 13.

Crystal (4-1) won its third straight at home 54-47 over Capuchino (2-3).
Terra Nova (1-2) dropped its second straight against another quality non-league opponent, falling 75-34 at University-SF (5-1).
El Camino (1-2) fell 59-42 at unbeaten Sacred Heart Cathedral (7-0), with the Fightin’ Irish overcoming a 19-11 deficit with a 21-8 second-quarter run.
Summit Shasta (2-2) won its second straight 54-50 at South City (2-3).

Aragon 56, Palo Alto 41
Senior guard Daisy Pantoja Beltran went to town for a career-high 30 points, leading the Lady Dons (2-0) to their second straight win to start the year at home against Palo Alto (2-1). Beltran’s previous career-best came nearly a year ago to the day with 21 points in a non-league loss to Gunn-Palo Alto. Senior Sienna Shehadeh added eight points for Aragon, while seniors Ellie McGinty and Lauren Pong had six apiece.
Gunderson 35, Nueva 25
The Mavericks (0-3) dropped their third straight, falling at home to Gunderson-San Jose (2-4). Junior Anjani Mariathasan led Nueva with 11 points and six steals, while senior Julia Randolph wreaked havoc in the paint with seven points, 20 rebounds and seven blocked shots. Junior Willa Beard added 11 boards and three assists.
Notre Dame-Belmont 52, Presentation 18
NDB senior Anani Perez scored 20 points to lead the undefeated Tigers (5-0) to their fifth straight win at Presentation-San Jose (1-3). Junior Sammy Kakala added 17 points for NDB, while senior Reyna Gonzalez scored 10.
Wilcox 38, Sequoia 23
The Ravens (4-2) had their three-game win streak snapped at home against unbeaten Wilcox-San Jose (4-0). Junior Olivia Macuga paced Sequoia with 11 points. Wilcox guard Gwen Coplan led all scorers with 12 points.
Hillsdale 43, El Camino 14
The Fighting Knights (3-0) won their third straight, all by double digits, at El Camino (3-4). Senior forward Daniella Sierra led the way with a game-high 15 points and five steals, while Hillsdale limited the Lady Colts to just two three-pointers throughout.

Terra Nova (2-0) doubled up on its home court for a 66-33 win over Eastside College Prep (4-3).
