A man shot and killed his wife before attempting to take his own life in a parked vehicle near the Bayside in Redwood City early Sunday morning, according to police.
At approximately 12:02 a.m. Dec. 7, police located a vehicle with an adult male in the driver’s seat and an adult female passenger parked in the 1300 block of Seaport Boulevard, near the Pacific Shores Center office park. Both were found unconscious with gunshot wounds to the head.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and the man was transported to a local hospital for treatment and remains in critical condition, police said.
Preliminary investigation showed that the two were "reportedly experiencing marital difficulties,” police said.
The individuals have yet to be identified to the public as of 12:30 p.m. Monday.
