There were a couple of letters in Wednesday’s paper about raising sales tax. Over the years this has happened more than once. Instead of raising taxes how about the government learn how to not waste our tax dollars. This Democrat-run state is being run into the ground. Just like the housing problem that democrats created, cities across the state are being forced to accept overbuilding, and they wonder why they need to raise taxes. These problems — that are Democrat created — are then pushed onto the cities to figure out.
All the while the state is keeping VLF money so they can waste that too. California is out of control with taxes. I heard they want a new tax when you sell your house.
This is not sustainable. Everyone needs to pay attention to all this and make major changes at the polls. Â
