I am writing to endorse Brian Donnellan for San Mateo County Superior Court Judge. I first met Brian in 1983 when he and his parents moved to San Mateo County. I became their next door neighbor in 1987. Since then, I have seen Brian develop deep roots in San Mateo County, roots that make him uniquely qualified to serve the county as judge.
Over the years, I saw Brian graduate from Serra High School, the University of San Francisco and, later, from the USF School of Law. I’ve seen first hand Brian’s commitment to public service. Brian joined the ROTC, and after law school, deployed to Iraq, earning a Bronze Star for his exemplary work in a combat zone. When he returned from Iraq in 2005, he began his career as a prosecutor for the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office, where he has since served the County of San Mateo. He has worked hard to help protect the county’s citizens.
In addition to working in San Mateo County for over 21 years, he is raising his family here, living in San Mateo with his wife and two daughters. It was here, too, that I saw him provide steadfast support to both his parents as they suffered from debilitating illnesses.
Brian’s life has been one of commitment to his family, public service and San Mateo County. Please join me in supporting my friend Brian Donnellan for San Mateo County Superior Court judge.
