Editor,

I read, with some astonishment, your front page article about the supervisor race for District 3. The article focused entirely on the coastal communities. What about Menlo Park, San Carlos, Belmont, Woodside and Portola Valley? Although I have been happy with the incumbent, Ray Mueller, and plan to vote for him again, I thought this article did a real disservice to his opponent, Joaquin Jimenez. As a resident of Half Moon Bay, Mr. Jimenez has a thorough understanding of issues facing coastal residents. Presumably, he is trying to appeal to all the residents in the district. What is his standing on issues faced by non-coastal residents? I am puzzled — did the Daily Journal leave this information out or is Mr. Jimenez really only trying to appeal to coastside residents?
