I was so pleased and encouraged to read the Student News column, “Protecting my peace” May 2. I have watched with pride, love and concern as my grandson graduated from high school two years ago, and my granddaughter is a member of the class of 2026.
The amount of pressure put on college-bound students in California is appalling.
The author, Iny Li, however, has found wisdom in spite of all the hyperbole. Thank you for sharing your thoughts in this well-written article. My hope is other high school seniors will find their self worth validated by your words. Congratulations.
