In the suit filed Monday in U.S. District Court in San Francisco, the San Mateo County Board of Education and Superintendent Nancy Magee claim the social media giants designed their products to target youth at the expense of their mental health.

This is hilarious. The same arguments against these targeted social media companies also apply to teachers unions and our so-called state leaders, instituting harmful educational policies leading to mental health issues among our kids. These educators/state inhibited education, forced absenteeism, and are responsible for physical and mental damage to our kids, resulting in likely mental health issues and lost educational opportunities. This lawsuit sounds more like an attempted shakedown where the goal is to never make it into court, but “extort” social media companies to pay out. I’d recommend enterprising lawyers should do the same for parents and file lawsuits against public teachers unions and the state. If anything, it’ll force unions to waste money on lawyers instead of potentially buying off politicians… BTW, does anyone recall these social media companies forcing anyone to use their products?
