SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The man who allegedly broke into U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's home and beat her 82-year-old husband in October pleaded not guilty Wednesday to six charges, including attempted murder, prosecutors said.

The suspect, David DePape, had planned to kidnap the speaker — who was in Washington at the time of the attack — when he broke into the couple's San Francisco home on Oct. 28, authorities said. Instead, the 42-year-old defendant severely beat her husband Paul Pelosi with a hammer in an attack that was witnessed by two police officers and shocked the political world.

The story is "phony?" There was a "rendezvous between the two men?" It looks as if Q conspiracy theories are alive and well in San Mateo. How sad that a politically motivated attack on an 82 year old man is met with additional attacks on his truthfulness and character. Shame on those who want to turn this into another Pizzagate. Please educate yourselves on the facts or keep silent.

SMPool - "Please educate yourselves on the facts". Which facts please? The entire episode has been muzzled so you don't have any facts either. The police reports have been stashed away, the DA has refused to answer any questions regarding the incident and there is no evidence whatever of any emergency room procedures if he was even admitted. That is also unknown. Now, if it had anything to do with a prominent Republican, we would have seen everything in gory detail. However, I suspect that the Pelosis want to keep this matter private. This is their right, and it should have been, but then do not encourage the Pelosi Press, aka the SF Chronicle, to dedicate page after page of a concocted story that cannot be corroborated.

We do indeed seem to have at least several active Q conspiratists in San Mateo county. I guess it's good that the Daily Journal comment pages keep us aware that fact? It truly amazes me also the depths to which they will fall, finding ways to prime the pump, generate more craziness, encourage more attacks. Instead of supporting an 82-year old man who was viciously attacked, they turn and join in attacking him.

Westy - I did not think you would like Kool-Aid. Why is questioning a story now a conspiracy? If you call everything an attack and dismiss the lack of evidence a conspiracy, you have compromised your generally cogent observations. What has age to do with this anyway? I still think it was a privacy matter between two grown ups that suddenly became a spectacle. Do you really believe that I am attacking Paul Pelosi or the hypocrisy that surrounds this story? Is it because the Pelosis reside politically on your side of the isle?

Westy

You and your Q friends are the reason this looney was targeting Speaker Pelosi's house in the first place. And yet you continue and continue and continue. Stochastic terrorism is what you are engaged in.

Dirk, I believe all of us have Q friends, even Westy. After all, who doesn’t use a Q-tip? Plenty of people eat Quaker Oats and even those tasty burgers from MickeyD’s, Quarter Pounders. And now Westy is bringing up the ridiculous and discredited “stochastic terrorism” thing because rabid lefties have no valid responses. As you said below, liberals consistently come up short and they hope (falsely) their name calling makes up for their lack of substance. If anything, it highlights their weaknesses and lack of independent thought. For a good response to stochastic terrorism, Chris Rufo, after being called out, penned a great response (https://www.city-journal.org/stochastic-terrorism-is-about-suppressing-free-speech) that explains the scheme.

BTW, previously, I asked Westy to provide her plan for solving California’s water crisis and you know her answer? First, crickets, and then when pressed, she said take a class. Unless she’s teaching the class, it’s not “her” plan. Result… still no plan. I guess those classes weren’t valuable in stimulating ideas or they resulted in no plans worthwhile enough to be shared. The bright side - at least I haven’t yet been accused of “stochastic terrorism” although I’d say it’s a badge of honor. Happy New Year, Dirk!

Please, SMpool, enlighten us and explain why the story is not “phony” or not a “rendezvous between the two men.” I hate to tell you this, but just about everything political written by the AP is closer to a conspiracy theory than the truth. Unless you were a witness and can set the record straight on what is and what is not fact, your conspiracy theory on conspiracy theories doesn’t hold water. Speaking of conspiracy theories, how about that “insurrection” conspiracy or the “Russian Collusion Delusion” conspiracy? Did you fall for these two Wile E. Coyote moments brought to you by Democrats - the same Democrats initially pushing Mr. DePape to be a right-winger? BTW, let’s hope the defense demand that raw footage be shown to jurors. Based on current “facts” some would say Mr. DePape has a case for self-defense.

Dirk van Ulden

Terence - based on Westy's responses, the liberals really don't have answer, consistently come up short and resort to name calling. I don't know about you, but i don't even know what the Q moniker means. Yes Westy, just wipe it off the table with a few cheap shots. Mark my words, De Pape will be silenced one way or the other. So much for equal justice and transparency in this country. All congruent with the Westys of the world.
