Editor,

After all these years I guess Pete Hegseth, who was assigned to lead the new Department of War, has forgotten the lesson we learned after Pearl Harbor. Bringing all the top generals and staff in one place and one time and announcing it to the world is as big a mistake as we made putting all our fleet at the same time in Pearl Harbor.

Thanks for your concern, Mr. Nice, but it’s a nothingburger. I’d daresay that all of the top generals and staff in one place were in the safest place in America, if not the world. Everyone should feel safer than a year ago. For all we know, Biden/Harris would take two knees and gift America to terrorists, much as Biden did with gifting Afghanistan to the Taliban. There’s no need to fret about Hegseth or Kennedy (who are both head and shoulders above treasonous Biden’s cabinet), you should be worried about why the Dems have become the party of supporting criminals and terrorists over the American people. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Robert - you made a good point. The next question is why we need 700 generals and admirals and senior enlisted personnel. There is one of those for every 2,000 active miliary members. We have no active wars going and we have not won one since 1945. It also seems to me that Hegseth is out for retribution because he never got higher than the major rank and finally gets to kick the teacher who slapped him in grade school.
