Editor,
We have to stop bringing a tambourine to a knife fight if we have any hope of preserving American values. That means voting “Yes” on Proposition 50.
Republicans in Congress have gutted research into life-saving treatments for cancer. They’ve slashed Medicaid and access to health care. They’ve allowed Trump to plunge the knife deeper into family budgets with piercing tariffs and sharp inflation.
Their job is to represent the people who elected them. But instead of doing what most of us want — like making thoughtful decisions on funding for veterans’ benefits and school lunches, negotiating with trading partners without thrashing our farmers, or releasing the Epstein files — they have chosen loyalty to an individual. An individual who is funneling our tax dollars to his billionaire friends’ pet projects and dispatching armed thugs into our communities to thwart peaceful protests, while they sit silently by and watch.
We don’t need more of these pandering cronies in Congress. Voting “Yes” on 50 gives us a fighting chance to have the representation we deserve — representation that is our Constitutional right.

Thank you, Kirti for this great, thoughtful and concise letter laying out a very clear picture of exactly where our nation sits today. Don’t listen to Terrence and his friends with their canned trash. We the people need to stand up and take our democracy back by all peaceful means necessary.
Here we go again… Kirti Schoener throwing the Democrat gaslighting talking point playbook at us to irrationally rationalize the threat to democracy known as Proposition 50. Sorry, Kirti, we’ve heard these hysterical talking points in the past and they’re ineffective. Especially the nonsense about sharp inflation. We’re not in the Biden era any more. Vote NO on the threat to democracy known as Proposition 50. Meanwhile, since Newsom started the redistricting war, let’s hope more red states join the fight so we have the representation we deserve – representation that is our Constitutional right.
Hey Terence! Has Putin reached out to talk about putting you on payroll? Because you’re doing a hell of a job. Somehow the length between reality and the world as you portray it is immeasurable.
