After a scoreless first half, the Panthers pulled out the win in the second half as PAL Bay Division play resumed after the holiday break.

The Knights, the defending Ocean Division champion, improved to 2-0 in Bay play this season with the rout of the Ravens.
Hillsdale (2-0 PAL Bay, 5-1-2 overall) led 1-0 at halftime before tacking on three more goals in the second half. Cristian Gomez and Tyler Hughes each had a goal an assist for the Knights. Bernardo Chaparro and Niko Nachbar rounded out the scoring for Hillsdale, while Eli Sanchez earned an assist.
Sequoia falls to 0-3 in Bay play and 2-4-1 overall.
The Warriors led 1-0 at halftime, but could not hold on for their first win of the season as the Bears escaped with a point following a goal in the second half.
Jesus San Juan gave South City (0-2-1 PAL Bay, 0-6-1 overall) a 1-0 lead on an unassisted strike, but Nico Lanza scored the equalizer of an assist from Finn Doherty for M-A (0-0-1, 2-4-1).
The teams were scoreless at halftime before the Wildcats pulled out the win in the second.
Ben Lange scored the game’s only goal for Woodside (2-0 PAL Bay, 5-1 overall), off an assist from Finn Lyssand.
Aragon falls to 0-2-1 in the Bay Division and 3-4-1 overall.
The Colts remained unbeaten on the season, scoring twice in the second half to break a 1-1 halftime tie.
The Tafolla brothers, senior Andrew and freshman Manny, continue to pile up points for El Camino (3-0-1 PAL Ocean, 4-0-1 overall). Manny Tafolla scored twice, while Andrew Tafolla tallied a pair of assists. Jordan Gomez rounded out the scoring for the Colts, with Daniel Figueroa Jr. picking up an assist.
Terra Nova (2-2-1) got a goal from Dylan De Conti, off an assist from Laith Abu Mhanna.
The Grizzlies scored a goal in each half as they shut out the Bearcats to pick up their first win of the season.
Jefferson (1-12 PAL Ocean, 1-3-5 overall) took a 1-0 lead at halftime as Jose Renderos converted a Ithalo Salas pass into a goal. Salas then doubled the lead in the second half, with Ferardo Sequeira providing the assist.
San Mateo falls to 3-2-1 in Ocean Division play and 4-4-1 overall.
The Rams picked up their first win of the season, scoring the game’s only goal in the first half and then holding off the Sharks in the second.
Cesar Rivera scored the game’s only goal for Westmoor (1-4), off an assist from Jayden Mijos.
The Cougars scored two goals in each half as they cruised past the Vikings.
Jack McMillan and Luis Partido gave HMB (4-1-1 PAL Ocean, 4-2-2 overall) 2-0 lead at halftime, while Alejandro Tafolla and Max Magana rounded out the scoring in the second. Omar Valencia, Carlos Ortega and Noah Haro all had assists for the Cougars.
Shamal Kumar scored for Mills (2-3, 2-4-1) in the second half.
The Gryphons, who advanced to their first Central Coast Section title game last season, are off to a strong start to the 2025-26 campaign as they routed the Panthers in the West Bay Athletic League opener for both teams.
Crystal (1-0 WBAL, 5-0-1 overall) scored all five goals in the opening 40 minutes. Jimmy Naylor had a five-point day with two goals and an assist for the Gryphons, while Kristian Bisgaard scored twice, as well. Lucas Shotts provided a pair of assists, with Ben Fair had a helper of his own.
ECP falls to 0-1 in WBAL play and 2-4 overall.
The Knights scored twice in each half as they shut out the Panthers in the WBAL opener for both teams.
Ryder Shaw, Chuck Wynn, Stevie Halprin and Bodhi Compton all scored for Menlo (1-0 WBAL, 3-2-2 overall), while Declan Sitter supplied three assists. Charlie Allard had the other assist for the Knights.
Priory falls to 0-1 in WBAL action and 2-3 overall.
In other action...
Serra (0-0-1 WCAL, 4-1-2) ran its unbeaten streak to three in row following a 2-2 draw with Mitty (0-0-1, 1-3-2) in the WCAL opener for both.
