Sacred Heart Prep 10, Design Tech 0
The Gators finally got their offense going as they posted a non-league, mercy-rule win over the Dragons.
SHP (2-3) took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the second, added two more in the third and ended the game with a five-run fifth as the Gators banged out 12 hits.
Blake Affrunti homered and drove in three runs to lead SHP and also picked up the win on the mound with three innings of no-hit ball.
Reilly Sutton had the only hit for Design Tech (0-3-1).
Menlo School 7, Westmont 2
The Knights scored two runs in the bottom of the first and rode that to a non-league win over the Warriors.
Jack Freehill collected two more hits and two more RBIs to lead Menlo (2-3), while Chuck Wynn had a pair of doubles.
Reid Plamondon got the win, allowing just hits over five innings of work, striking out six along the way.
Live Oak 16, Hillsdale 4
The Acorns blitzed the Knights in the bottom of the first inning as they smoked Hillsdale in a mercy-rule decision.
Hillsdale (2-1) got off to a fast start, scoring three runs in the top of the first, but Live Oak (2-2-1) scored nine run in its first at-bat. The Acorns added four runs in the second and three more in the third.
Woodside 2, American-Fremont 0
The Wildcats scored both runs in the top of the fifth to get past the Eagles in a non-league game.
Jeremiah Arias Torres had the big hit for Woodside (3-1), driving in both runs. Carter Ball added a pair of hits for the Wildcats, as well.
Woodside starting pitcher Colby Fernandez took it from there, pitching a two-hit, complete game with 10 strikeouts.
Softball
Mills 10, Los Altos 2
The Vikings rallied from an early deficit to cruise past the Eagles in a non-league meeting.
Los Altos (0-2) scored twice in the bottom of the first, but Mills (4-1) came right back to tie it with two runs in the top of the second. The Vikings took control of the game with a five-run fourth and then scored single runs over the final three innings.
Isabel Chen, a freshman leadoff hitter for Mills, had three hits, including a double, and drove in a pair of runs. Audrey Jang also had two RBIs for the Vikings.
Kalia Woo earned the win in the circle, working the first four innings, giving up one earned run on two hits. Hailey Pedroza pitched three innings of scoreless relief.
San Mateo 8, Wilcox 1
The Bearcats, who made it to the CCS Division II championship game last season, stayed undefeated in 2026 with the win over Chargers.
San Mateo (2-0) scored four runs in the bottom of the second inning to take control of the game. The Bearcats then capped it with three runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Alice Han had a double and three RBIs for the Bearcats, while Rachel Warner added a pair of RBIs. Celia Hernandez collected three doubles.
Hernandez also got the win in the circle, allowing just three hits in six innings of work, striking out six.
Aragon 6, Santa Teresa 4
With the score tied at 2-all after four innings, the Dons scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth to top the Saints.
Olivia Mukherjee went 3 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs for Aragon (3-4). Destiny Garcia and Makayla Hafoka each had two hits, with Garcia driving in a run.
Hafoka went the distance in the circle in picking up the victory. Allowed four runs while scattering five hits.
Valley Christian 15, Carlmont 2

It’s been a rough start to the season for the Scots. They opened with a 9-0 loss to CCS power Mitty and that was followed by a thumping by the Warriors.
Valley (3-0) led 5-0 after two innings before pulling away over the final three. Carlmont (0-2) was held scoreless until scoring their first two runs of the season in the bottom of the seventh.
Jordyn Sbragia had a two-run double as Carlmont was held to just five hits.
Boys’ tennis
Mills 4, San Mateo 3
The Vikings pulled out their second straight 4-3 win, beating M-A Tuesday and the Bearcats Thursday.
And Mills (2-2) followed a similar plan to Tuesday’s win: win three of the four singles matches and then just one of three doubles matches. Liku Inaba and Jovian Cheung gave the Vikings that all-important doubles win, taking the No. 3 spot with a 6-2, 7-5 decision.
Max Varfolomeev provide the winning point at No. 4 singles for Mills, needing three sets to beat Vishesh Kodisvaran 5-7, 6-0, 10-3.
Dylan Chua won at No. 1 singles for San Mateo (0-3), posting a 7-5, 7-5 victory.
Aragon 6, Burlingame 1
The Dons stayed unbeaten in Bay Division play as they rolled past the Panthers.
The match of the day came at No. 2 singles where Aragon’s Pacome Polly outlasted Burlingame’s Noah Chiang in three sets — 7-6(4), 2-6, 10-2.
Burlingame’s win came at No. 1 doubles, where Tyler Diddy and Jake Druskin posted a 7-6(6), 6-4 win.
Aragon improves to 3-0, while Burlingame falls to 2-1.
In other action...
Menlo-Atherton (1-2 PAL Bay) picked up its first win of the season, beating Woodside (0-3), 6-1.
Half Moon Bay (1-0 PAL Ocean) rolled to a 7-0 win over Capuchino (0-1).
Hillsdale (1-0 PAL Ocean) blanked Oceana (0-1), 7-0.
Sequoia (1-0 PAL Ocean) swept El Camino (0-1), 7-0.
Menlo School (1-0 WBAL, 5-0 overall) did not drop a set in a 7-0 win over Crystal.
Girls’ swimming
Woodside 115, Aragon 62
The Wildcats wasted little time in posting CCS qualifying times in their first PAL dual meet of the season.
Charlotte Teague qualified for CCS in both the 200 individual medley (2:16.56) and the 100 breast (1:10.15).
Clara Young posted a pair of qualifying times in the shortest and longest races. She posted a 24.21 in the 50 free and 5:08.91 in the 500 free.
