The Scots (6-6) took a 1-0 lead into the fifth, then rallied for three insurance runs before breaking it open with a five-run seventh in non-league play at Riordan-SF (4-9). Sophomore starter Jacob Shinseki fired five scoreless frames to earn the win, improving his record to 4-1. The left-hander allowed three hits and three walks, while striking out six. Junior reliever Devin Debono worked two scoreless frames to close it out.
Junior cleanup hitter Giancarlo Enferdi paced Carlmont with three hits and two RBIs, senior Levi Wellman added three hits, an RBI and two runs scored, and Nate Werbinski and Benjamin Taylor recorded two hits apiece. Junior Santino Williams paced Riordan with two hits.
Aragon 5, Lowell 3
Kai Thornton and James Wright tallied two hits and two RBIs apiece, as junior starting pitcher Liam Harris worked five innings to earn the win for the Dons (7-4) in a non-league home win over Lowell-SF (9-4). Aragon has now won five of its last six. Harris allowed three runs on three hits, four walks and a hit batsman, while striking out five. Senior right-hander Xavier Ruiz closed it out with two scoreless innings to earn the save.
Los Altos 6, Half Moon Bay 3
Half Moon Bay (6-6) led 3-2 in the third, but Los Altos (5-8) swung ahead on its home diamond with a game-tying sacrifice fly from junior Wes Calhoun, and an RBI single from junior Sal Soto. HMB junior Lane Giannini drove in all the Cougars’ runs with a three-run triple in the second.

Morgan Winfield hit his fourth home run of the year, and Garrett Johnson and Cole Hymer delivered two RBIs apiece as the Ravens (8-3) rallied for a non-league win at Mountain View (2-8). Sophomore starting pitcher Logan Deitrich worked 3 2/3 innings to earn the win in his varsity pitching debut, allowing two runs on five hits. Senior Nolan Fausto followed with 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief, and sophomore Oliver Connelly closed it out, allowing one unearned run in one inning of work.
FRIDAY
Valley Christian 4, Serra 2
The Padres (1-3 WCAL, 8-4 overall) dropped their third straight, getting swept at Frisella Stadium in a two-game set with Valley Christian (3-1, 8-4). Freshman left-hander Michael Ohman battled through four scoreless frames with Valley Christian junior Colton Hadfield, but Serra blinked first as senior Nathan Choi delivered a three-run home run for the Warriors in the top of the fifth. It marks the first runs Ohman has surrendered through nine appearances. His run of scoreless innings to start his varsity career ends at 20 1/3 innings.
Junior Aaron Minton had a solo home run for the Padres. Hadfield earned the win through 4 2/3 innings, and sophomore Jack Graham worked 2 1/3 innings to net the save. Ohman allowed three runs on two hits through five innings to take his first varsity loss, dropping his record to 3-1 with a 1.02 ERA.
Menlo School 3, Menlo-Atherton 2
Menlo School (2-2 PAL Bay, 7-5 overall) trailed 2-0 after the first inning, but tied it with single runs in the third and fifth before walking off on an RBI double from sophomore Fletcher Cahill in the bottom of the seventh at home to split a two-game series with Menlo-Atherton (2-2, 3-8). Cahill fired one inning of relief to earn his first varsity win. M-A freshman Jake Scott had two hits and two RBIs, while senior Ryder Kelly added two hits.
Terra Nova 3, Sequoia 1
Senior starting pitcher Cooper Santamato allowed one run on four hits to earn the win, as Terra Nova (6-3) rallied for three runs in the second to claim a non-league win at home against Sequoia (7-3). Senior reliever Giovanni DeFilippis closed it out with two scoreless innings to notch his second save of the year. Sequoia senior Morgan Winfield paced all batters with two hits.
