It’s no secret Capuchino has one of the grittiest running backs in the Peninsula Athletic League in senior Lucas Zayac. But the Mustangs showed their backfield is much deeper than just their big horse in Friday’s home opener.

The Mustangs (2-0) galloped to a 43-0 victory in non-league action against Jefferson at Carl Reyna Field. While Zayac paced the backfield with 35 yards on seven carries and a touchdown, the real eye-popping number was in seven running backs carrying the ball for Cap in the game.
