Editor,

In response to Kent Lauder’s letter about climate change, I too wrote a letter recently about people being a sheep or a wolf.

Mr. Wild: Well, at least you got one thing right in your wild, frivolous diatribe: “the presidential vote was tampered with”. I guess that was too obvious, besides proven beyond any kind of MAGA-infested doubt. Nevertheless, as much and as hard as they tried, the sheepish cult wasn’t able to change the election in Trump’s favor, thank goodness! Not even Putin’s attempt was enough in 2020. What a disaster it would have been, if he had succeeded again, like in 2016. We have seen what that resulted in!

And, of course, you seem to have realized that the world is round. That’s encouraging, and I’ll give you credit for that one, too.

The allegation that Russia or Putin interfered with the 2016 elections has no hard evidence. It appears the allegation, repeated ad nauseum, was used by the US war machine as a means to vilify Russia and Putin in the eyes of the U.S. public and prepare for war with Russia. What we have now is the Democrat party and Republican party in bed with the corporate state and the pharma/medical cartel. Under the mask of "neoliberalism" -though not really liberal -there is an attempt to create a new fascist surveillance and censorship control state where only one opinion is allowed, that of the Klaus Schwabs and Bill Gates' of the world. Misled by the trance of anti-Trumpism, most of the left have been neutered to go along with the new corporate technocracy heavily invested in information control and censorship. And amazingly with a hard right neocon foreign policy (the same neocons or their disciples behind George W. Bush). If you think Joe Biden is not right wing just look at his past and present support of the neocon agenda.

So when you state there is "no hard evidence" that Russia interfered in the 2016 election, seventeen U.S. intelligence agencies confirmed that Russia used trolling centers to infiltrate social media sites in our nation. But hey, maybe you know something that they don't?

Dirk van Ulden

FFGig - trolling and interfering are not the same. Censoring by Twitter and Meta caused more interference than the Russians could only dream of.

Looks more like another slick CIA propaganda campaign to start a new cold war. Having grown up in the 1970's, I am amazed anyone would automatically trust what spooks say. You might want to have a look at The Twitter Files to see all the documented holes in the Russiagate narrative. BTW your unfamiliarity with the issue is evident by your use of the very old "17" agency hype (there were only 4) that was debunked around 6 years ago.

Dirk van Ulden

Yes FFGig - these very same agencies that wrote off the incriminating existence of Hunter Biden's laptop as having the earmarks of a Russian origin. That they walked back after their puppet Biden won the election. Since when can we trust any of our intelligence agencies? With the billions of dollars wasted on them, they could not even prevent 9-11. I have more faith in Biden's dogs; at least they bite.

Wow...still buying into the whole "rigged election" theory. Please state FACTS when asserting such dribble, then again, maybe you have information that every election official in states are not privy to? But your LTE is funny however.

...and oh, by the way Neil, it was Democrats who voted to save the government from a shutdown after "My Kevin" pleaded with them to help him. Now, may I suggest monitoring the coverage of the former president's fraud trial.

Another great letter, Mr. Wild, sure to trigger a few rabid lefties. Unfortunately for the rest of us, sheep only think and say what their Democrat overlords tell them to. Common sense, critical thinking, and education are not tools in their toolbox. Repeating fake news and lies, while willfully ignoring treasonous Biden and the Biden crime family, is all they can offer. Meanwhile, Mr. Wild should be proud of receiving two of Jorg’s only valid points, exclamation points, and a few of FFGig’s (I'm surprised he hasn't changed his username again to distance himself from his debunked assertions) throwaway comments.

acomo

"Debunked" how? Explain. Whose FRAUD trial started today in NY? Clown show.

edkahl

A very entertaining letter Mr. Wild. Politics is too much about indoctrination and raising money for politicians. People better wake up.

Not So Common

And when Trump tried to drain the swamp, Hillary, Never Trumpers, Obama, Biden, China, attacked him from every conceivable angle with lies, lies and more lies that only work because the media is complicit and censors the truth and hides the lies.

Tafhdyd

Mr. Wild,

Your letter definitely confirms that the Writers Guild of America strike is over. If you are not prohibited from doing so, could you tell us what comedy show you write for?

I'll just address 2 of your points. 1) Yes, we need to address recycling of batteries. the Biden administration also announced a separate $60m programme for battery recycling in early May 2022. By reusing materials from end-of-life batteries, a secondary domestic supply chain independent of the mining supply chain could be created.

2) It's actually the right wing of the Republicans that can't get honest about immigration. Millions of the refugees at our southern border are fleeing gun violence, a situation that the US has actively and aggressively created by keeping the flow of automatic weaponry freely open.

Dirk van Ulden

OK Westy - you have all of the answers. But - supply chain could be created - please note the caveat "could." It is not happening and batteries are piling up everywhere. Are the illegal immigrants coming here because of the flow of automatic weaponry? Most rebels in Africa seem to prefer Russian made weapons. Are the African and Asian migrants looking for better quality, American made weapons? You know the real reason we have hordes crossing our border or what is left of it. Biden's cry, come on, we are ready for you. And so they came, spending thousands of dollars paid to the cartels to come here and soak up our benefits. You forgot to mention that the US also caused all wars in last and current century and that Trump was friends with Mao, Hitler and Stalin. You are in urgent need of a new playbook.

Oxford dictionary describes trolling as "making a deliberately offensive or provocative online posting with the aim of upsetting someone or eliciting an angry response". U.S. intelligence agencies produced tens of thousands of postings during the 2016 campaign in which falsehoods regarding Trump's political adversaries were found to have originated by Russian agencies. Understand now?
