Neil Wild parrots Fox News conspiracy theories. Maybe, in his next letter, Mr. Wild could let us know how he would reduce the budget deficit? Cut military spending? Cut our pensions (Social Security and Medicare)? Make token cuts to minor programs? I do agree that it’s his taxes being spent because I’m sure he isn’t the beneficiary of the Trump tax cuts that greatly increased the deficit.

Chuck - actually you sound like a parrot yourself. None of these cuts in spending are contemplated by anyone in Congress but are, as always, being and should be discussed.
And perhaps, Mr. Simmons, you can tell us how treasonous Biden taking two knees in surrendering Afghanistan and leaving billions in equipment to the Taliban help America. Or how wasting $billions upon $billions in an unwinnable war in Ukraine is helping America. Or why people continue talking the talk about global warming but do nothing to walk the walk. Let me know if you need more examples. BTW, if you and others are so unhappy with our great President Trump’s tax cuts, there’s no law requiring you to keep them. Please send the money back to the Treasury. I thank you in advance.
1. Your hero is the one who set the deadline on removal from Afghanistan before Biden ever took office. "In February 2020, the Trump administration and the Taliban, without the participation of the then Afghan government, signed the US–Taliban deal in Doha, Qatar, which stipulated fighting restrictions for both the US and the Taliban, and provided for the withdrawal of all NATO forces from Afghanistan." Futhermore, he and his staff then did everything they could to block the incoming administration's transition team from the information they needed--and I'm not even talking here about how they tried to violently overthrow the duly elected government--TFG's staff refused to meet with and transfer information to the incoming admin's teams. And this in the middle of the height of the pandemic. Inexcusable (though I'm sure you'll come up with excuses)
2. Ukraine is winning. Just by holding out they are winning. No one expected them to last more than 2 weeks. When Russia took Crimea, no one said boo. This time they are meeting resistance and it is sapping their energy and keeping them from moving on to their next invasion.
3. Climate change activists, your favorite topic! Surprised you left out your usual tedious copy/paste on that. Is your oil industry propaganda beginning to bore even you?
4. It is billionaires almost exclusively who benefit from TFG's tax cuts.
Westy - sorry but you are dead wrong. Trump did negotiate a deadline but WITH CONDITIONS. Those conditions were ignored by Biden and his amateurs.

1. Westy, you’re saying that treasonous Biden was told to take two knees in surrendering Afghanistan and leaving billions in equipment and weapons to the Taliban? Weapons which have likely made it to Hamas in attacking Israel. Biden’s cowardly surrender is inexcusable (though I’m sure you’ll dream up more ridiculous excuses).
2. Ukraine is winning? Because they’re holding out longer thanks to $120 billion in aid (just from America)? That’s not much of a win, for America or anyone else. You think Russia’s energy is being sapped? Well, in a way, because they’re selling their energy to other countries to continue their meat grinding in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Ukraine is winning so much their clown of a leader is demanding more money and weapons from other countries. Doesn’t sound like winning to me, or anyone else.
3. Speaking of climate change, I would hope you would be able to perform a tedious cut/paste on what you’re doing to walk the walk instead of talking the talk about saving the world. Oh wait. There’s nothing to cut and paste because like everyone lecturing us and talking the talk, nobody is walking the walk. Thus, we get a throwaway comment.
4. In case you’re not aware, it is billionaires and the top 5% almost exclusively who pay the majority of income taxes in America. So it’s only simple economics that they’d benefit from any tax cuts, whether from our (yes, our) great President Trump or anyone else.
BTW, what does the Tactical Fighter Group (TFG) have to do with anything?
No country can continue to borrow more that it produces. US Government debt has increased from 67% of GDP in 2014 to 123% of GDP today to accommodate inflationary government spending. If we don’t cut our uncontrollable increase in government spending that increase our government debt, severe recessions, inflation and higher interest rates on government debt will do it for us.
