A fact with which nearly everyone can agree is that traffic in the Bay Area is bad, and getting worse.

How to solve that situation is where things get dicey.

Thanks Seasoned Observer! And tax employers, not residents. Build more bridges.

Very pleased to see the DJ come out against this "tax." Perhaps a tax levied on the larger employers in this area is more equitable. Their exponential growth has disrupted not only the housing markets but our transportation systems. At this point we have more jobs than we can fill so making it more expensive for large employers to expand here might cause them to expand elsewhere.

Just saw Facebook is to lease 250 Howard in San Francisco, perhaps fewer people will travel to Menlo Park.

Given that Facebook's 59-acre Willow Village campus in Menlo Park is slated to add an additional 9,500 workers by 2025, I'd say that's unlikely.

Super Technology created a huge population increase in a short period of time. The result was skyrocketing housing costs and a strain on infrastructure, especially transportation. They should pay. VOTE NO ON RM3.

I voted YES on Measure 3 because it funds transportation projects that are needed now and will be needed even more in the future, including the extension of Caltrain to downtown San Francisco. That alone is a project that will greatly benefit many Peninsula commuters. Another benefit for Peninsula residents is to encourage carpooling by people who live in the East Bay and who work on the Peninsula. Some of the worst traffic is on Highway 92 going westbound in the morning and eastbound in the afternoon. All the approaches to Hwy 92 are clogged because most of the vehicles have only one occupant. Higher tolls will encourage these commuters to use apps that make it easy for them to pick up other commuters who work nearby before getting on the bridge. The Bay Area is growing and needs more transportation infrastructure, which isn't cheap. This is one way to pay for it. VOTE YES ON MEASURE 3.

Yes but why should bridge users be the ones paying for it . No one disagrees that congestion needs solving but its time for everyone to pay
