Lois Barbara Pape died peacefully, surrounded by her family, Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018,
Lois Leonhardt was born Jan. 17, 1934, and grew up in San Francisco, attending Lincoln High School. There she met Ron Pape, whom she married Feb. 15, 1953. The family moved from San Bruno to Millbrae in 1962. With feisty determination and a no-nonsense manner, Lois lovingly raised five children and 11 grandchildren.
The family vacationed in Russian River, Twain Harte and Maui. Twain Harte became the family’s second home, where on the beach at the lake Lois cherished having vibrant conversations and playing card games with friends and family.
Lois is preceded in her passing by parents Charles and Edith, brother Chuck and daughter Caron. Lois is survived by Ron — her loving and devoted husband of over 65 years — son Larry, daughters Susie, Cathy and Tracey, grandchildren Danielle, Joshua, Jessica, Colin, Rachelle, Lucy, Brian, Veronica, Justin, Sarah and Zachary, and great-grandchildren Amaya, Marloe, Desmond, Gianna and Amelia.Â
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at the Chapel of the Highlands on El Camino Real at 194 Millwood Drive in Millbrae.
