Born on June 23, 1927, in Chariton, Iowa, to Benton and Sylvia (Caldwell) Pettigrew; the sixth of seven children. She was preceded in death by her parents, and all of her siblings.
Survived by daughters Lisa (Jeff Crowley), Nona (John Fineberg) and Sara; grandsons Benton Cruikshank (Ashley) and Timothy Crowley; great grandsons Callum and Liam Cruikshank.
Frances married Robert T. Haller, in Ottumwa, Iowa, on June 29, 1952. They settled in Rock Island, IL, in 1954; she lived until, at age 90, she relocated to San Carlos, CA, to be near two of her daughters.
She died Saturday, April 5, 2023.

A celebration of life was held at Trinity Presbyterian Church, San Carlos, CA on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11 a.m.
