Christine “Chrissey” Elliott aged 74, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2024, at Idylwood Care Center in Sunnyvale. Born on October 11, 1949, Chrissey, lived a life full of warmth and connection. Known for her ability to make and maintain friendships, she was a familiar and cherished figure among family, friends, employees at local businesses, and her healthcare providers.
Chrissey was an active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Burlingame for decades. She enjoyed participating in many church activities, helping to set up the coffee hour, socializing with members of the congregation; and after moving to Sunnyvale, continued her connection via letters and Zoom.
Chrissey graduated from Mills High School and for many years worked in community vocational workshops. She was dedicated to her friends and family and remembered their birthdays and anniversaries without fail. She enjoyed playing cards, board games, puzzles, and followed her favorite shows and sports teams. She showered us with her cherished letters and drawings for every occasion.
Chrissey is survived by her siblings Linda, Jeanne, Lisa, Elizabeth (Michael) Maulick, Frank (Shelly) Elliott, her twelve nieces and nephews, their twelve children, and her seven cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Janice and Donald Elliott.
Thanks to the exceptional care and compassion of the Idylwood staff, Chrissey’s last ten years have been gentle and comfortable. Many thanks to the San Andreas Regional Center and Golden Gate Regional for their amazing support over the years. The family is also deeply appreciative to the individuals who brought great joy to Chrissey through phone calls, visits, and letters over the years.
Chrissey’s kindness and unique spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Memorial service details will be announced at a later date.
