Girls’ soccer
Hillsdale 3, Sequoia 3
The Knights held a 2-1 at halftime, but he Ravens scored twice in the second half to forge the draw wi in the Bay Division opener for both teams.
Shelby Barron led Hillsdale (0-0-1 PAL Bay, 1-2-1 overall), scoring a goal and assisting on the other two. Deya Sandoval added a goal and assist for the Knights, while Kira Tennant rounded out the scoring for Hillsdale.
Sequoia (0-0-1, 2-0-2) scored three, unassisted goals. Kazumi Low scored off a corner kick before Leah McDowell added a pair of unassisted strikes.
Burlingame 2, Menlo-Atherton 1
After a scoreless first half, the Panthers scored twice in the second to hold off the Bears to win their second straight Bay Division match.
Burlingame (2-0 PAL Bay, 2-2-1 overall) got goals from Adelle Farris and Gaelle Anne-Foy, with Hannah Goldberg and Miya Steinbach picked up assists.
It was the Bay Division opener for M-A.

Woodside (0-0-1 PAL Bay, 3-1-2 overall) and Aragon (0-1-1, 1-2-2) battled to a scoreless draw.
Capuchino (0-5-1 overall) picked up its first point of the season with a 1-all draw with Priory (0-2-1).
Abby Voelker made 10 saves, but it was enough as Mercy (1-3 overall) was shut out by Castilleja (3-0-1), 2-0.
Mountain View (5-0 overall) cruised past Mills (3-5), 7-0.
Los Altos (3-1 overall) scored a goal in each half to beat Carlmont (2-2-1), 2-1.
Leland (3-0 overall) blanked Menlo School (1-2-2), 2-0.
Boys’ soccer results
Menlo School (2-0-1 overall) and Gunn (1-2-2) played to a scoreless tie.
King’s Academy (1-1) shut out Nueva School (1-4), 5-0.
Crystal (2-0-1 overall) got past Saratoga (3-1), 2-1.
Boys’ basketball
Priory 75, Half Moon Bay 51
the Panthers scored 17 or more points in all four quarters to pull away from the Cougars in a consolation bracket game at the Burlingame Lions Club Invitational.
HMB (1-3 overall) got off to a solid start, scoring 20 points in the first quarter for a three-point lead.
But Priory (6-1) outscored the Cougars 18-9 in the second quarter to lead 35-29 at halftime and take control of the game. The Panthers then outscored HMB 40-22 in the second half.
Leigh 65, Hillsdale 56
The Longhorns led by seven after the first period and never trailed as they topped the Knights in the consolation bracket of the Burlingame Lions Club Invitational.
A nine-point second quarter, however, doomed the chances for Hillsdale (1-3 overall) , which trailed 33-22 at halftime.
Jefferson 54, South City 44
The Grizzlies got of to a 14-2 lead after the first quarter and then held off the Warriors the rest of the way.
Jefferson (2-2 overall) led 30-15 at halftime, but South City (2-4) outscored the Grizzlies 29-24 in the second half to give the Warriors a shot.
Galileo-SF 67, Aragon 57 OT
The Dons rallied in the fourth quarter to force overtime, but their scoring dried up in the extra period as the Lions shut out the Dons 10-0 in overtime to take the non-league win.
Aragon (3-2 overall) trailed for much of the game, behind 36-31 at halftime and 46-39 going into the fourth quarter.

But the Dons outscored Galileo (3-2) 18-11 in the fourth to send the game to overtime.
Clayton Valley Charter-Corcord 56, Menlo-Atherton 43
The Bears were limited in both the second and fourth quarter as the Ugly Eagles held on for the win.
M-A (0-2 overall) led 17-16 after the first quarter, but were held to eight points in the second to trail 27-25 at haftime. Clayton Valley (3-1) extended its lead to 45-36 after three period, before the Bears were held to just seven points in the fourth.
Summit Shasta 72, Wallenberg-SF 63
After opening the season 0-2, the Black Bears won their third straight game after beating the Bulldogs in the first round of the Lowell-SF tournament.
Casey Redosendo and Jayden Orteza each finished with 17 points for Summit Shasta (3-2 overall). It was the second game in row in double figures for Redosendo and the second in three games for Orteza.
Peter Mogannam scored 14 points against Wallenberg, her second straight 14-point game.
In other action ...
El Camino (2-2 overall) evened its record as they slipped past Lowell-SF (2-2), 40-39.
Capuchino (2-4 overall) fell to Drew-SF (5-3), 70-58.
Crystal (5-1 overall) continued its strong start season, beating Jewish Community (5-3), 55-46.
Washington-SF (4-2 overall) beat Westmoor (2-6), 57-43.
Menlo School (5-1 overall) beat Santa Teresa (3-5), 66-55.
Girls’ basketball
Lick Wilmerding 50, San Mateo 45
The Bearcats suffered their second straight loss, falling to the Tigers in a non-league game.
San Mateo (5-2 overall) got off to a slow start, trailing 16-8 after the first quarter. But the Bearcats came roaring back, outscoring Lick Wilmerding (6-0) 19-7 in the second quarter to take a 27-23 lead at halftime.
The Tigers, however, would take a 40-39 lead into the fourth quarter and then held off the San Mateo in the final eight minutes.
Bella Fong scored a season-high 28 points to lead the Bearcats in scoring for the seventh straight game. Violet MacAvoy pulled down 11 rebounds to go with seven points for San Mateo.
Lick Wilmerding was led by Amaya Tavu, who finished with 20.
Carlmont 48, Sequoia 30
The Scots got the better of rival Ravens, holding them to single-digit scoring through the first three quarters to take the non-league win.
Carlmont (3-1 overall) held Sequoia (4-3) to just 13 first-half points to lead 29-13 at the break before outscoring the Ravens 14-4 in the third.
Sequoia outscored the Scots 13-5 in the final eight minutes.
Santa Cruz 60, Mills 40
The Cardinals and Vikings were tied 23-all at halftime, but Santa Cruz (3-1 overall) outscored Mills (2-2) 19-3 in the third to take control of the game.
Gunn 39, Aragon 35
Daisy Pantoja Beltran scored 13 points for the Dons, but it wasn’t enough as the Titans escaped with the win.
Down 11-4 after the first quarter, Aragon (2-1) got back in the game in the second, trailing 15-14 at halftime. But the Dons could never quite complete the comeback as Gunn (3-0) outscored Aragon 24-21 in the second half.
In other action ...
Valley Christian (4-2 overall) nearly doubled up Terra Nova (2-1), beating the Tigers 61-34.
Jefferson (4-2 overall) drilled Burton-SF (0-5), 55-23.
Pinewood (4-0 overall) hammered Half Moon Bay (3-2), 72-34.
