Emi LaPedis, Design Tech girls’ basketball. The senior shooting guard scored 38 points across three games, hitting 12 3-pointers in the process. She had 15 points each in a loss over Summit Shasta and a win over Pacific Bay Christian, connecting on five 3s in each case. She ended the week with two more 3s in a win over BISV.
Sierra Troy and Emi Lo, Aragon girls’ soccer. The Dons’ dynamic duo finished the regular season with a flourish, helping lead Aragon to three wins last week as the pair combined for seven goals and three assists. Troy, a senior, scored four times and assisted on a fifth goal to finish with with 11 goals and four assists during the regular season. Lo, a sophomore, had three goals and two assists to give her a team-leading 13 goals and eight assists.
Marco Menlendez, El Camino boys’ basketball. The senior helped the Colts end the regular season on a four-game winning streak. He scored 20 points in a 64-43 win over Oceana and closed the regular season with 14 points in 54-41 win over rival South City.
Nate Coughlin, Serra boys’ soccer. The senior striker, despite being the focus of opposing defenses, continues to dominate. the Padres wrapped up second place in the WCAL following a 1-1 draw with Mitty Wednesday and a 2-1 win over St. Ignatius Saturday, with Coughlin factoring into all three goals. He scored Serra’s goal against the Monarchs and had an assist and the game-winning goal against the Wildcats. Coughlin has scored 22 goals and assisted on seven more this season.
Ryder Doleschal, Preston Dixon and Trevor Wilson, Serra boys’ wrestling. The trio advanced to the Central Coast Section Masters finals by each running the table at the CCS North Regionals, held Saturday at Gunn-Palo Alto. Doleschal took first place in the 106-pound division; Dixon first at 215s; and Wilson first in the heavyweight division.
Daniella Sierra, Hillsdale girls’ basketball. The junior forward helped the Knights to a 46-43 win over Carlmont that clinched second place in the PAL Bay Division. She posted a double-double in Hillsdale’s only game of the week, scoring 11 of her 13 points in the fourth quarter to go along with 13 rebounds.
Sebastian Nowak, Hillsdale boys’ soccer. A sophomore call-up from the junior varsity squad, Nowak had a huge role in the the Knights’ PAL Ocean Division-clinching 3-0 win over Woodside. A defender, Nowak scored twice during Hillsdale’s three-goal flurry in the final seven minutes of the first half. He converted a Tyler Hughes pass into a 2-0 lead and then skied over his defender to head home the Knights’ third goal off a free kick.

Lauren Aguilar, Burlingame girls’ wrestling. The senior took care of business Saturday at the CCS North Regionals, taking first place in the 120-pound division. Aguilar is a returning CCS champion, and will have the chance to repeat this Saturday at the CCS Masters finals at Independence High School in San Jose.
Sophia Darer, Terra Nova girls’ wrestling. Another reigning CCS champ, Darer will have the chance to repeat this Saturday at the CCS Masters finals. She took first place at 110s at the CCS North Regionals, held Saturday at Gunn-Palo Alto.
Reese Kelley, Terra Nova girls’ basketball. The sophomore guard helped the Tigers to a pair of two-point wins to close the regular season. She scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a 42-40 win over South City. In the regular-season finale, a 45-43 win over Burlingame, Kelley, again, scored 18 points, with four rebounds, four steals and three assists. She shot a combined 54.5% from the floor in the two wins.
Nathan Thurlow, Menlo-Atherton boys’ soccer. Another senior striker that had a dream year, Thurlow helped lead the Bears to an unbeaten season and the PAL Bay Division title. He scored the title-clinching goal in a 1-0 win over Aragon and closed the week with both goals in a 2-1 win over South City. Thurlow has 21 goals and seven assists.
Trevor Cadigan, Menlo-Atherton boys’ basketball. The Bears played only one game last week and it was Cadigan who was instrumental in leading them to the PAL Bay Division championship. Taking on Half Moon Bay in a must-win game, Cadigan scored a game-high 19 points, which included five 3-pointers, in a 62-49 win.
Jasper Caffo, Aragon boys’ basketball. The senior wing closed out the regular season with two solid games. He opened the week with 25 points in a 62-60 loss to Sequoia and ended the week with a 15-point performance in a 61-29 win over Mills.
