Kiana Chen, Daniela Cuadros, Alexandra Farrell and Isabella Schuett, Carlmont girls’ track and field. For the second straight week, Carlmont made a splash in the 4,000-meter distance medley relay. On the heels of a second-place finish in the event two weeks ago at the Stanford Invite, the Scots used an augmented lineup at the Arcadia Invitational, but proved just as impressive. The new quartet raced to fifth place in the elite-level invitational race with a time of 12:01.72, just .17 seconds off their finish at Stanford.

Rallin Covey and Kyle Sweeney, Sacred Heart Prep baseball. The Gators’ one-two punch on the mound led the way to back-to-back shutouts to sweep a two-game series from Mills. Covey opened the series, with the senior right-hander firing a two-hit shutout, with a career-high 15 strikeouts. Sweeney, the junior left-hander, followed that with a career-high 12 strikeouts over six shutout innings to earn the win in a 7-0 victory over Mills, upping his record to 6-0.
