San Mateo police are looking for a suspect in a bank robbery that occurred on April 11 at the Wells Fargo Bank, 100 E. Fourth Ave. in which a man approached a teller and placed a demand note on the counter. The suspect ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as 30-40 years old, possibly of Middle Eastern descent, medium complexion, 5 feet 6 inches tall and of medium build. He had short brown hair. He wore round eye glasses, dark pants and an unknown color plaid shirt.
