A group of suspected auto burglars was arrested early Wednesday morning according to the San Mateo Police department.
At approximately 2 a.m., officers received a report of an auto burglary in progress in the 200 block of Sonora Drive, Capt. Kevin Raffaelli said. By the time officers arrived, the suspects had left the area in another vehicle.
Officers located the suspects and their vehicle at the intersection of Tilia Street and Borel Avenue, but the suspects fled as officers approached on foot, Raffaelli said.
The chase ended when the suspect's vehicle struck a parked vehicle in the 500 block of Hobart Avenue, Raffaelli said.
Three suspects fled the vehicle but police later apprehended San Francisco residents Edgar Delgado, 21, and Jose Corvera, 28. The third suspect has not been located, according to police.
Police located property from the reported auto burglary as well as other apparently stolen property, reports Raffaelli. The suspects admitted to more robberies during questioning, according to police.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact San Mateo Police Department at 522-7650.
