Editor,

I was extremely happy to read that the Daily Journal has endorsed Charles Stone for San Mateo County supervisor concluding: “Stone is a natural for District 2 supervisor. He is progressive, but practical. His experience, knowledge, communication skills and impressive drive for constituent service simply make him the best choice.” I’ve known Charles for many years and know this to be accurate.

Stone's "robust engagement" is only with residents who agree with him. He stonewalls or talks down to the others, including me.

Oh geez, is it already time again for Stone fan club endorsement letters? I wonder if the SMDJ can keep statistics on how many letters are printed for, or against, Stone, and maybe even other political wanna-be’s and correlate whether the number of pro- letters corresponds to a win for the candidate. Perhaps the SMDJ can also reveal the number of non-printed letters for and against a candidate. Of course, we have to assume letter writers physically exist in this world.

Terence--AGAIN? Two days in a row I agree with you? I better take my temperature.

Stone is a career politician, who spends his time getting endorsements and bragging about them. I'm looking at Cruz, who seems to have experience working directly with the people directly affected by the issues facing SM County.

Yipes, Tommy. What the… Is it because of the upcoming harvest moon and we both happen to be ultra-sensitive to the gravitational pull? Ok, when you stop laughing, maybe another explanation is heat? Since there’s plenty of heat via our mini heat wave, we see no need to add more heat to our dialogue? Let me ponder that while I enjoy my pitcher of ice cold lemonade. Stay cool and hydrated.
