Like so many other readers of the Daily Journal, I have appreciated your good coverage of our local stories and events. Your front page article “NDNU faculty says president should resign” in the May 4 edition of the Daily Journal about NDNU, however, was unbalanced, extremely disappointing and seemed so unfair.
Published the day before NDNU’s 166th commencement, the article described only one side of a challenging financial situation that affects nearly all small colleges and universities today, one that the president and the Board of Trustees are dealing with. Your article made no mention of the immense contributions that the university has made and continues to make for its students and our community, and there was no mention of its many accomplishments, including the million-dollar scholarship (and vote of support) it recently received for their first-generation students.
