Editor,

In the article “Regional housing fix unveiled” in the Dec. 18 edition of the Daily Journal, the course of action proposed by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission mentions in part that it is a response and remedy to the high cost of living in the Bay Area. The proposal? The plan is to spend $2.5 billion annually, and $l.5 billion comes from new taxes. One can hope the reader is in a demographic with enough political muscle to shift this brilliant, if counterintuitive, remedy to the high cost of living onto the other person.

Good point. It's getting expensive to live in the Bay Area, so let's tax the people of the Bay Area even more. Everybody in favor say Aye, "Aye" said all the unelected bureaucrats in unison.

If MTC is involved it is bad for the average man, woman and child.

John Morris, Either does not understand the workings of MTC or he does not know Mr Stogner. MTC and ABAG are destroying the quality of life in the Bay Area that's just a fact, adding more housing will just add more traffic until we are all tied up in gridlock.

I would suggest you look up the definition of what a fact is. It appears you have confused it with your own personal opinion. We are in a housing crisis and much more housing is needed. Godspeed to ABAG and the MTC!
