Editor,

Executives must not be allowed to leave taking their salaries and retirement benefits with them. Each must be stripped of title, salaries and benefits. Each must be charged, convicted and sent to prison for their role in the recent fires. They suspended shareholder dividends for 2018 received a rate hike and gave themselves a multimillion dollar raise. Acting together and individually, they they chose to ignore needed replacement of aging and failing equipment, delayed maintenance on other equipment, put off needed tree trimming and brush removal and failed to map out fire zones. They made all the decisions leading to the fires. If all had been done the fires may not have beeen as bad, may not have even started. They claimed committed to customer safety yet allowed safety records to be falsified for five years prior to the fires.
