Adrian John Daansen, resident of San Bruno, died in Hayward March 6, 2013.
He was the loving husband of 54 years to Patricia Daansen and is also survived by his daughters Cheryl Shonk and Karen Daansen and son Steven Daansen (his wife, Angela); six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; his niece Erin Stapp and great-nephew Ryan Stapp. Brother-in-law of Maureen Bell. He was preceded in death by his daughter Judith Daansen and son-in-law John Shonk.
He was a native of Rochester, N.Y., age 81 and lived in the Bay Area for more than 60 years. Adrian served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the U.S.P.S. after 33 years service.
Family and friends are invited to attend the liturgy service 11 a.m. Thursday, March 14 at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
