The San Mateo and Hillsborough Fire Department's responded last night at 9:53 p.m. to a first-alarm house fire at 144 San Mateo Drive - three blocks north of downtown.
When the call came in, they reported that there was a fire on the first-story of a two-story home and that there were windows popping, according to the San Mateo Police Department.
The fire was quickly extinguished within 12 minutes and there were no casualties, according to the Hillsborough Fire Department's Battalion Chief Kim Olson.
The owners of the home were not there at the time. They have not been contacted, as of last night, about the fire.
The neighboring structures were not harmed by the fire.
