A vegetation fire burning in a rural area of western San Mateo County consumed about 20 acres Tuesday afternoon, according to Cal Fire.
The fire was first reported at about 1:45 p.m. and was burning near Seaside School Road in the unincorporated community of San Gregorio.
As of about 2:40 p.m., it had grown to roughly 20 acres and forward progress had been stopped, according to Cal Fire, which has dubbed it the School Fire.
