Proactive patrols in unincorporated San Mateo County early Tuesday morning led deputies to two suspects in possession of more than 100 grams of fentanyl with intent to sell, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

At around 1 p.m. May 5, deputies patrolling unincorporated San Mateo County conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle near Skyline Boulevard and Bunker Hill Drive. Deputies contacted the driver and passenger and observed drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. The driver, David C. Dutton, 40, of San Francisco, was found to have two active warrants for drug sales. Deputies searched the vehicle and discovered more than 100 grams of suspected fentanyl in numerous packages, hundreds of suspected fentanyl pills, more than $5,000 in cash, drug paraphernalia and an imitation firearm.
