Watching the Super Bowl from the comfort of your home has its perks but so does being surrounded by a crowd of fellow Niners fans, where you won’t be able to miss a moment of the game even if you tried.
On Sunday, the entire Bay Area is going to tune in for a thrilling match-up against the Kansas City Chiefs, so be sure to choose where you celebrate wisely. If you’re still undecided where to watch the game, check out some of the Peninsula’s best watch parties.
Marvin Gardens in Belmont
It’s not just the restaurant’s plentiful big screen TVs and outdoor patio that make it an ideal location, but the Old County Road establishment will keep patrons entertained before and after the game with a live DJ playing ’90s hits, top 40 music, Reggaeton and more.
Walk-ins are welcome but only on a first come, first served basis, so be sure to make a reservation so you can grab one of the street hot dogs and take advantage of its beer bottle specials.
Old Princeton Landing in Half Moon Bay
From NBA championships to Super Bowl games, the Old Princeton Landing is no stranger to hosting watch parties and uniting Bay Area sports fans.
The official Super Bowl party of the Peninsula’s 107.7 The Bone radio, the Half Moon Bay restaurant and bar will host the station’s DJs live on stage from 3-6 p.m., and you can even partake in a 65-inch screen TV giveaway contest.
“Whenever the Niners are in the Super Bowl, it raises the morale of the community, because everyone’s happy, so we just go off that vibe,” said the restaurant’s owner Brian Overfelt.
With a 120-inch screen over the stage and seven other TVs placed strategically throughout the restaurant, you can catch the game wherever you are. And the selection of fresh chili, local crab and hot dogs doesn’t hurt either.

The Redwood-City based establishment is making sure everyone has a good time this Sunday, even if you’re just rooting for Usher.
Game day drink specials range from $7 shots to $5 beers and $12 boilermakers, in addition to classic Super Bowl food staples. Customers can watch the game from the regular restaurant and bar area, or they can check out its new, spacious sports bar annex next door, fully adorned with Niners, Giants and Warriors memorabilia.
The restaurant also prides itself on being a family-friendly atmosphere, with plenty of games to entertain young kids.
“It’s an intimate space, so you’ll see a lot of camaraderie between tables and people getting to know each other. It’s a very community-friendly atmosphere,” General Manager Sienna Forde said.
The Office in San Carlos
A local favorite for sports fans, The Office’s ambiance is perfectly suited for a game day gathering. As the name suggests, the old real estate office building was converted into a bar and grill and has since cultivated a strong customer base, many ready to cheer on the Niners this weekend.
The gathering is first come, first served but make sure you get there before the crowd grows so you can take advantage of its beer and shot specials.
Freewheel Brewing Company in Redwood City
What other food would you want to eat during the Super Bowl other than loaded nachos, fries and wings? That’s exactly what Freewheel Brewing in Redwood City is offering this Sunday, accompanied by happy hour and pint specials.
Located on Florence Street, the spot is known for watch gatherings, with options to watch the game from its indoor and outdoor spaces.
