An outside fire against a building at 2200 Edgewood Road in the hills of Redwood City Monday afternoon prompted a response by the Redwood City Fire Department that quickly contained and secured the site.
The first alarm came in at 2:15 p.m. and the second at 2:43 p.m., Deputy Chief Shon Buford said. The site was under control by 3:06 p.m.
Crews quickly contained the fire to its small origin and ensured there were no threats of further exposure. Some remained on scene in the Palomar Park neighborhood around 4 p.m. to ensure safety, Buford said.
