An alleged carjacking near Fifth Avenue and Middlefield Road in Redwood City Friday evening has led to the arrest of two people involved, the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office said.
Jake Basler, 19, was arrested after leading law enforcement on a chase from a Walgreens store in Millbrae to San Francisco before being arrested, along with a juvenile, the DA’s Office said.
Basler and two others are accused of forcing two women out of a car at 1:50 a.m. in Redwood City and driving off with the vehicle, which was later spotted in Millbrae, the DA’s Office said.
The third person who participated has not been found yet. Basler’s next court date is Dec. 7.
