The South San Francisco City Council has decided to discuss a resolution advocating for a cease-fire in Gaza during a May council meeting, after multiple appearances and pressure from public commenters.

A handful of city councils have adopted such resolutions throughout the Bay Area — including Oakland, Richmond and San Francisco — but most in San Mateo County have opted not to take up the matter. Some have offered other solutions, such as the Millbrae City Council, which recently asked both Palestinian and Jewish residents to come together to draft a joint statement.

And the silliness continues… Hey SSF, your tax dollars at work doing stuff that will not change your life, well, except for promoting division. I guess it pays to be the first to massacre an enemy and then garner the sympathy vote. More power to Israel. Meanwhile, are there odds on whether SSF will go the Millbrae route and kick the can down the road?
