Pinstripes announced this week that the company will open a location featuring 12 bowling lanes, four indoor and outdoor bocce courts, a bistro and quality curated wine cellar and event space accommodating 20 to 1,000 people as part of the expanded Hillsdale Shopping Center in the fall of 2019.

The venue will be part of a 220,000 square foot redevelopment of the former Sears at Hillsdale Shopping Center by Bohannon Development Company. Pinstripes will join other new tenants, including luxury cinema operator Cinepolis, Palette Restaurant, Belcampo Market, MidiCi The Neapolitan Pizza Company and others. This 12h Pinstripes location — the first in California — will occupy more than 33,000 square feet on two levels, introducing Italian-American cuisine, fine wine and cocktails, bocce courts, bowling lanes and meeting event facilities to the surrounding communities.

Mr Eddy

Hillsdale has become a big disappointment. The new food court was underwhelming even my friends didn't like eating there, they lack multiple food options. Even their bowling and bocce court isn't anything special, San Mateo already has Bel-Mateo bowling which isn't too far from the mall. They missed the opportunity to get Dave & Busters, which is more special entertainment for San Mateo. Hillsdale used to bring big name places to their mall few decades ago, now they're just picking the more boring places that are cheaper to operate with more profit margins.

Hillsdale is getting very cool... Again! I feel like it is the 80's - 90's all over again!!

Fantastic! Something else that families can't afford...brilliant move! For sure that family of 3, 4 or 5, is going to go bowling... with fine wine. How about we stop focusing on the Young Tech, that can afford to go bowling with fine wine, and start realizing that there is zero to do for kids and families on the Peninsula, anymore. Because those 20 and 30 somethings will one day have families too maybe...and good luck taking your family of X to a bowling alley with fine dining.
