Three people were arrested in San Mateo County early Sunday morning after allegedly attacking five people with glass shards, sending two of the victims to the hospital, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to Mariscos El Sanignacense — a Mexican restaurant on the 2500 block of El Camino Real in the unincorporated area of North Fair Oaks — at about 2 a.m. after receiving reports that five victims had been stabbed.
Three victims were found at the scene, and two others were later found after going to the hospital with injuries from glass and other objects, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Witnesses and video footage identified three suspects that had allegedly gotten into a fight with the victims before the stabbings and slashings occurred.
Sheriff’s deputies identified 37-year-old Claudio Fajardo Gomez, 29-year-old Kevin Lopez Lima and 30-year-old Nixon Perez Morales and the suspects. The three were arrested shortly after, not far away from the restaurant, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The three were booked into Maguire Correctional Facility on allegations of assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury.
