Two suspects, including an 18-year-old Daly City man, were arrested in connection with an armed robbery in South San Francisco in which a victim was pistol-whipped in late April, police said.
The robbery happened around 5:50 p.m. on April 24 in a parking lot in the 300 block of B Street, according to the South San Francisco Police Department. Police alleged two male suspects robbed two victims at gunpoint before fleeing in a silver sedan.
During the robbery, one of the victims was struck with a handgun and suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening, the department said.
On Wednesday, detectives working with the North Central Regional SWAT team, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Gang Intelligence Unit and the Daly City Police Department served search warrants at the suspects’ homes. Police said both suspects were taken into custody on suspicion of armed robbery, conspiracy and assault with a deadly weapon. Investigators also allegedly recovered evidence connected to the crime.
Authorities asked anyone with information about the case to contact the South San Francisco Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau at (650) 877-8900.
